Poor Reindeer!

Oops...thanks for the reminder Alan...how could I forget this one?!?!?

This movie is one of the best Christmas movies around. The characters are all so outlandish...
kinda reminds me of home! :)
Oh...the horror!!!! A loose squirrel! Hee Hee

Who doesn't have that nutty relative that everyone tries to pretend that they don't exist?!?!?

This guy was hilarious. I loved it when he blew up the tree and was on fire. Funny stuff.

Add ons to the Christmas movie list....

I forgot to include a few other classics on my list. For shame... for shame!

No list could be complete without the Grinch. He is a stable classic in our holiday viewing.
One of Tony's all time favorites. He relates well to Scrooge! Ha! But he has recently come around and isn't quite as bad as he used to be.

This is one of Zach's favorite movies. He will watch this one repeat for hours. I am surprised he likes it. Maybe he relates to Ralfie's wierd parents!!!! Hee Hee

How in the world could I have neglected to mention White Christmas? It's one of my favorites. OK...I think I am done. If you have any classic favorites...let me know. I am always interested in watching anything new.
Have a happy holiday season. Try one of these movies on for size and see what you think.
Love you!
Chris

Christmas Movie List:

This is a list of my favorite Christmas movies (in order)
1. The Bishops Wife. Aaaaahhhhhh, there is just something about Cary Grant that melts my bones. He is the epitomy of Romance.

2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. As a kid, you always knew it was Christmas when Rudolph came on the TV. Some of the biggest arguments I remember as a kid was when this show would come on a Sunday night when we still had Sacrament meeting at night in the Stake Center. We had to watch this movie. It was a do or die situation!

3. Santa Clause is coming to town. It's sad...but I sing along with the characters to this day. I actually made Tony watch it with me the other day. He smiled at me like I was a lunatic!

4. Miracle on 34th Street. They have remade this movie several times, however, my favorite is still with Natalie Wood. It was magnificent.

5. Christmas in Connecticut. This is a little known classic. I love it. I want to live in the house shown in this movie. It would be my dream house!

6. Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! Classic. Need I say more??!?!?

7. It's a wonderful life. I sometimes feel like the Jimmy Stewart character. It seems that no matter what he does in his life...he can never get ahead. It's only later revealed how much his influence has been felt and how far reaching his efforts have been. Great, great show.

8. A Christmas Carol. Not just any Christmas carol, but the 1940's version with good ol' Alistair. He makes a delightful Scrooge. It's Tony's all time favorite.
9. The nutcracker prince. It's a cartoon that dates back to when Zach was a wee bairn. It is a wonderful story and the music is sublime. I still watch it after all of these years!
10. Annabells Wish. This is another cartoon but it is well worth watching. I love it and have always loved it since the first time I watched it. The ending song is so good. I would love to have a copy of it.

Every Christmas I watch the same ol' feel good movies. Mostly for Sentimental reasons, but also for the feelings they bring about inside of me. Some I have watched for years since I was a little girl and others I have watched since having children. It used to be that Cartoons were the predominant mainstay in our home. Now I can't seem to bring my son into the room to view a movie with us! Times have changed and so have we...but thank goodness we can always take a walk to a happier more peaceful time by placing a movie in the player....

Everyone's a comic...

I want to be Doris Day....

Ok...by viewing my previous posting, It's obvious that I long for the looks of the 50's. Maybe it stems from my love of everything Doris Day. Some of my most memorable memories of growing up was watching WTBS classic movies. (They used to be like the TCMC channel back in the beginning of cable TV!) I was a complete sucker for them. I would loose myself in those silly slapstick comedies. I thought Doris Day was the most beautiful women ever. I loved her clothes. I loved her singing voice. I still have several of her albums to this day. Ohhhhhh ... want to be Doris!

I want the fashion of the 50's back!

This is the look I wish would come back into fashion. Look how feminine these models appear. Color coded outfits with gloves and hats to match. Oh....in my own world, I wish we could go back to this look. You never left your home without looking your very best.

I try to never use this forum to complain or discuss political issues...but I am going to take a moment to vent!
Have you found the women in your local areas supporting the fashion trend of showing their
bra straps? It is the common attire found in Florida. EVERYONE wears this. Young and OLD.
I have seen 70 year old women wear tank tops with bra straps showing (needless to say...they
need all the support those puppies can hold...they are fighting against gravity!)

This look is disgusting. Give me the 50's anyday!
Chris
